Chicken Bhuna (Dry)


Bhuna is a "dry" curry which is generally served with plain, boiled rice. If you are watching your weight you might want to substitute rice with Indian bread (chappati) or simply have the bhuna.









What you need?

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breast - 2 nos
  • Onion - 1 no
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Medium sized Tomatoes - 3 nos
  • Vegetable Oil / Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Indian Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp
  • Ground Coriander - 1/2 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Dried Coconut - 1 oz (25 gms)
How to do?
  1. Cut the chicken breast into bite size pieces.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  3. Chop tomatoes into small pieces.
  4. Heat the oil / butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, garam masala, ground coriander, red chili powder and turmeric to the saucepan. Fry for 5 mins.
  5. Add chicken pieces and chopped tomatoes to the saucepan and cook the mixture for 20 minutes.
  6. While the bhuna is cooking, sprinkle the dried coconut over it.
Here is your chicken bhuna ready to be served...... offcourse with a smile :)
